Free floating sections is a method that enables the fine sectioning of organs, usually for Immunohistochemistry.
Using this method, the organ or tissue is fixed in PFA and sectioned into 40µm sections. The sections are carefully mounted on slides, and are ready for IHC as a downstream application.
Free floating sections allows optimal Ab penetration and high quality imaging in a confocal microscope
Free floating sections is regarded as one of the most advanced and popular sectioning tools in the industry today
