Pharmaseed Bioservices is a GLP-compliant contract research organization (CRO). Our purpose is to provide early-stage discovery, pre-clinical, early-development and agglomerated services for small and medium-size start-ups as well as idea and feasibility companies. Pharmaseed’s overall vision is to address the critical components that its clients need in the early-stage development of drugs, biologics and medical devices by providing expertly guided R&D and establishing a well-characterized lead candidate for future development. Having obtained the translational tools for designing successful clinical trials, clients stand a better chance of completing their pre-clinical programs, thereby attracting further investment and licensing deals.

Pharmaseed aims to provide clients with enhanced control over the critical validation and developmental stages of their projects. We conduct most of our in vivo studies in-house in a state-of-the-art laboratory and animal facilities. These are well equipped for urgent and long-term evaluation of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotech R&D. Pharmaseed offers access to a wide range of in vitro and in vivo animal models, toxicological studies as well as complementary services. Our services are available for proof-of-concept studies and regulatory submission-oriented pre-clinical evaluations of safety and effectiveness. Pharmaseed is constantly expanding the breadth and depth of our expertise in various niche areas and adding to our portfolio of services. In addition, relatively few CROs anywhere in the world can provide animal models for their clients, and even fewer can provide Pharmaseed’s range of skills.

Pharmaseed offers discovery, pre-clinical and related early-stage services on a consulting basis to companies lacking the expertise or in-house R&D facilities. Our company’s specialization includes all the important management qualifications necessary for early-stage NCE, biologics or medical-device development up to the first human clinical trial.

As part of our regulatory and quality-assurance services, Pharmaseed offers GLP certification, implementation of GLP and GCP standards, interfacing with GCP-compliant entities and strong working relations with regulatory consultation companies, as well as an IT platform and technical infrastructure.

The P3 Program
To reach clinical validation of an idea, proof of mechanism, proof of principle and proof of concept must be carried out. Pharmaseed’s P3 Program employs an a priori decision-making algorithm used together with backward design for our clients’ R&D plans.

Virtual Lab
Pharmaseed boasts a pioneering virtual lab data system that includes a state-of-the-art rodent facility. The virtual CRO is linked to a network of service providers that gives clients access to emerging scientific fields and a laboratory with 24/7 data accessibility.

Pharmaseed is the first pre-clinical CRO to offer its clients a complete interactive Web-based environment for round-the-clock information .

Turnkey Testing Services
Unique Alzheimer's disease model
Specialized R&D services are facilitated through our unique double transgenic mouse model:

Multiple modes of drug administration
Behavioral testing using several paradigms
Biochemical testing, including ELISA for beta-amyloid
Sampling of CSF, ECSF (microdialysis) and plasma
Digitized high-throughput neuropathology, histochemistry and immunostaining
The ability to develop and validate assays on request
The ability to supply frozen or fixed tissue for the client analysis.

Stem cell capabilities
Vast array of regenerative models (Parkinson's disease, stroke, diabetes, hind limb ischemia, cardiovascular and many others)
Experience in a battery of stem cell-related pre-clinical assays (safety)

Animal Welfare
Research animals are treated humanely by our dedicated veterinary staff, who ensure that the highest standards are maintained in breeding and research. The company meets or exceeds all national and international rules, regulations, standards and guidelines. All animal use is subject to review by an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The lab will only approve the use of live animals for specific purposes and only appropriate species and models. It minimizes the number of animals in the labs and uses non-animal alternatives whenever possible.

The lab provides performance-based training to all personnel using animals and high-quality husbandry supported by data on animal welfare outcomes. Pain and distress are monitored and alleviated by thoughtfully designed procedures and models, and by the use of proper anesthesia and painkillers during surgery
