Itschak Lamensdorf, Ph.D.
President & CEO
Dr. Lamensdorf brings to Pharmaseed a broad range of technology expertise. He was the founder and CEO of PharmaSense, a biotechnology company that specialized in the treatment of CNS disorders. Dr. Lamensdorf holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and a B.S. and M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Medical School. He held postdoctoral positions at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of the National Institute of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland and at the Molecular Genetics Department of Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science.

Tal Liroz, M.B.A.
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Liroz is a Co-Founder of Pharmaseed and has led its Operations and Human Resources Department since the company was formed. During her 15 years in senior management positions she has served as Manager of Administration and Human Resources at ITM and Visionix. Ms. Liroz earned an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Manchester in the U.K. and has a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.

Revital Duvdevani, Ph.D.
Vice President, Research and Development
Dr. Duvdevani has 10 years of experience in drug development. She worked for four years as the Vice President for R&D at BioMAS and prior to that as the Director of the Pharmacology Department at D-Pharm. Before that, Dr. Duvdevani served as a senior scientist at the Israel Institute for Biological Research and as the Head of the Experimental Neurosurgery Laboratory at the Sheba Medical Center. Dr. Duvdevani holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. from the Neurobiology Department of the Weizmann Institute and a Master of Science in Management from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University’s Rehovot branch. She carried out her post-doctoral fellowship at Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Prof. Aharon (Ronnie) Levy
Scientific Director
Prof. Levy holds a PhD degree of the Hebrew University in chemistry, post-doc training in pharmacology at the Roche Institute for Molecular Biology and a full professor nomination at BGU, Beer-Sheva. For 13 years was responsible for the production of radio-pharmaceuticals at the NRCN, Negev, and then 30 years at the IIBR, Ness-Ziona (out of which served for 13 years as head of the Pharmacology Department). During five years of Sabbaticals conducted research at various research institutes. For five years (1995-2000) served on the Board of Directors and as head of the Research Committee of the Dead Sea Bromine Group.

Judith Ben-Porath PhD
Director, Preclinical In-Vitro Unit
Dr. Ben-Porath has 10 over years of experience in drug development, from early building of research teams and facilities, through management of concurrent projects and delivery to clinical trials. Dr Ben-Porath brings extensive experience in management of inter-disciplinary teams, international projects and joint development programs. Her previous roles include a research scientist role at the Ben Gurion University, Israel, specializing in immunotherapy of Alzheimer Disease. Also, Dr. Ben-Porath served as a Director of Immunotherapy at Intellect Neurosciences, a biotechnology company developing therapies for Alzheimer Disease, and a project manager at XTL Biopharmaceuticals Ltd, where she led immunotherapy projects as well as proof of concept of small molecules for treating HCV.  Dr. Ben-Porath received her PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and M. Sc. from SUNY at Stony Brook.

Shlomo Pundak Ph.D.
Director, Quality Assurance Unit
Dr. Pundak brings 15 years of experience in protein chemistry and additional 20 years of experience in QA and regulatory affairs in pharmaceutics and medical device disciplines. He held postdoctoral positions at Purdue University, Indiana, USA, and received the AHFFR Research Fellow grant. He served as Head of diagnostics and analytical chemistry departments, and as Head of QA and regulatory affairs at various commercial biotechnology companies in Israel. Dr Pundak received in MSc and PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel.

Yoram Sela, Ph.D.
Head of Pharmaceutical Scientific Board
Dr. Sela has been involved in corporate pharmaceutical research and development for the last two decades. Before joining Pharmaseed in 2009, he was Vice President for R&D at Nesher Solutions and LycoRed as well as a Co-Founder and Head of R&D at Karma Pharm. In the 1990s, Dr. Sela set up and managed the drug-delivery unit at Teva Pharmaceuticals. He holds a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Casali Institute of Applied Chemistry.
