Heat-Induced Analgesia


On day 0 animals are challenged with STZ at 50mg/kg by IP injection at an injection volume of 10ml/kg.

Chronic Diabetic efficacy

Heat induced analgesia on the tail using immersion in warm (49°C) water, demonstrated a continuous increase of hypo-algesia. Latency was modestly increased as diabetes progressed throughout the study.

The treated group showed a rather lower latency after STZ-induction, and significantly lower latency (P<0.05) (hypersensitivity) than in vehicle on day 25 of the experiment
